Editing

Here's more about what we do and how it works:

Wondering if you need an editor?

  • The very best published writers work with editors who check their work for mistakes and problems, and there is a good reason for this. As a writer, you have been deeply involved in your project, and while focusing on the ideas, you may miss things. Every writer needs an editor who will go over the manuscript carefully, with great attention to detail, and with a fresh pair of eyes. Journals regularly reject papers with excellent ideas that are poorly written. We can help you avoid this fate, and get published.
  • Although professors will grade your paper and possibly make a few comments, they do not have the time to comment on every problem, as we will. They are much more likely to lower your grade for English mistakes than they are to simply correct them for you and move on to consideration of your ideas.

Here's how it works:

  1. Click here and attach your paper to send it to us for editing or for a free estimate.
  2. In your email, please indicate when you need your paper back by, and your location so we know what time zone you’re in.
  3. If you have asked for an estimate, we will reply shortly with an estimate and a sample of our work on your paper (we will edit a page or two).  We guarantee that the final cost will not exceed the estimate by more than 20%.
  4. If you have submitted your paper for editing, we will edit it in Microsoft Word using « Track Changes » so you can see our edits.  This enables you to accept or reject individual changes.  This is important because although we are experts on academic writing, the writer should always have the final say.
  5. At the same time, we will comment on any problems in your text that need your attention, such as missing information or things that need to be rethought or rewritten by you.
  6. We will notify you by email when we have finished editing your paper.
  7. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and Pay Pal.
  8. We will email you two copies of the edited paper: a "marked-up" copy showing our (suggested) changes, and a final copy that you can use as is if you like.
  9. You review our suggested changes and comments, and make any changes you wish to make.
  10. If you wish, we will review any changes you have made in response to our suggestions. Additional charges may apply. We will then email you the final paper.
